This is what World Art Dubai is about – giving an emerging amateur artist living in the UAE a platform to exhibit his works. With no formal arts education, Erwin’s work questions aspects of culture, society, individualism and freedom of expression. His paintings offer a raw, fresh take on a web of themes and fantasies, featuring a single subject. He incorporates flowers and has part of his subject’s face hidden by a brutal coloured block.
