Fresh from a sold-out Artist Special Release (ASR) in January 2022, Erwin Viado releases Volume II of yet another ASR, a limited collection of small-sized paintings directly available for purchase from the artist’s website, to be enjoyed by art collectors and enthusiasts alike.

About the Collection

Titled “Temporary Triggers”, this Volume II ASR explores a person’s relationship with short-term pleasures. Eating fast-food meals, smoking cigarettes, and drinking alcohol and carbonated drinks, are examples of these short-term pleasures. “These “Temporary Triggers” stimulates the release of dopamine in the body that gives a sense of pleasure, an immediate escape from stress, problems, or unwanted emotions. However fleeting it may seem, it has become an addiction, a way of life, and part of everyone’s activity. I decided to place my own spin on it using brands we’ve grown up with. Addictive or not, these brands have traversed generations.” said Erwin Viado.

The artist yet again gives us another collection that is both timely and relevant but always with his consistent whimsical take and a nod to his love of popular culture.
